Downtown (midtown) Atl is a great place if you have the $. I had a phatt loft apt there. It really depends what area you plan to work. Distance to work vs traffic, is a major issue in Atlanta. A 27mile distance can be a 45min drive in Atlanta. I lived all around Atlanta. I’ve been here for 9 years. Trust me; base your location on your job, unless you have a convert. car and a good book to read. Traffic can be UGLY between 3:45-6:30pm. Generally the West side, Marietta area is a reasonable priced area for Apts. and homes. East side, Gwinnett is little pricier plus more traffic! South is really reasonable. North Buckhead is high priced. Social Scene is downtown area. Welcome to the ATL. Take care Pete

Move to Columbus, ohio. 1 1/2 hours from Cincy, 2 hours from Cleveland, 2 2/3 hours from Indianapolis, 3 hours from Pittsburgh, and 3 hours from Detroit.
