"The ****ens, You Say?"
Gregory V. Boulware, Esq., 'The Elder'

Extreme Programming
A discipline of software development that follows a specific structure that is designed to simplify and expedite the process of developing new software. Kent Beck developed Extreme Programming to be used with small teams of developers who need to develop software quickly in an environment of rapidly-changing requirements.
XP teams design software for specific functionalities without adding any functionalities that are not specifically requested that may slow down the process, keeping the development course simple through systematic and regular testing and design improvements.
Extreme Programming is based on 12 principles...

Short for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, HIPAA provides national standards to protect the privacy of personal health information. To improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the health care system, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996, Public Law 104-191, included "Administrative Simplification" provisions that required HHS to adopt national standards for electronic health care transactions. Congress incorporated into HIPAA provisions that mandated the adoption of Federal privacy protections for individually identifiable health information. [Source: HIPAA Overview (PDF)]

The article, "Device Machine Dependent," has described instances and descriptions where robots or robotics have been designed to emulate the actions, abilities, and appearance(s) of mankind... "Human-Like"; "The Image of Its' Creator!"

Many people on the planet profess to know just about everything. There are those who know it all. There are those who know absolutely nothing but boast to the contrary. Haven’t you met people who know everything about anything and everything about everybody? Sure you have… Haven’t You’ve wished that they would shut the hell up and be quiet? Haven’t You’ve wished for certain persons to go away or learn to shut their mouths before they speak…?

Haven't we all, at one time or another, experienced waiting in line at retail, wholesale, and/or any given checkout counter where everything stops when the computers fail? Didn't you wish the operators of these devices could use a (for those who can remember) portable calculator, abacus, or something that will get the line moving and allow you to leave with your purchase? How about using a plain ole pencil and paper?

"Sorry...We can't write you a receipt, the computer knows all of the prices and keeps inventory as well as who I am, the date, time, transaction number, my station number, and the store location number." We are at the mercy and dependence of computers and machines that do all and most of what we used to do, as well as the things that we don't do.

How many times have you been in your car and engaged in a shouting match or argumentative interaction with your 'GPS' or "onboard interface?" Aw, c'mon now... haven't you gotten angry and screamed at the device when the voice behind it gives you screwed up or wrong directions? Sure you have.

An "E-Contract" is a contract that is formed electronically. "E-Money" is prepaid funds recorded on a computer or a card (such as a smart card or a stored-value card - a gift card). A "Destination Contract" is a contract for the sale of goods in which the seller is required or authorized to ship the goods by carrier and deliver them at a particular destination. The seller assumes liability for any losses of damage to the goods until they are tendered at the destination specified in the contract - under the auspices of Business Law in the Online World of Web Contracts and Jurisdiction.

So when you go running to the PC to order that new stereo, television, camera, cell-phone, kindle, Mitsubishi SUV, lap top, or garter belt...remember - "Let the buyer beware!"

"Point and Click - The Electronic Contract!"
Many times...and in many instances, "Point and Click E-Contracts" are the equivalent of pen and paper agreements. The advent of "Cyber Monday" has holiday shoppers running to their PC's with the anticipation of obtaining - oh yeah, it's legal

"The One Thing I Know Is..."
'How To Understand Information Technology', 2014
"It is my commitment, my profound propensity to indefatigably inscribe throughout the annals of time and in the name of education, and Information, my contribution(s) to the practice of "Free Education and Self-Help" Publication(s) For One And All - Across The Globe And Beyond!"

"AI" Of Human-Kind
Many of us have PC's in our homes today. And there are many others who feel they are, and believe they are a step ahead while utilizing home-robots like "Alexa" or IBM'S "Watson" and a myriad of cloned devices that clean, monitor, and coordinate their daily lives or lifestyles.
Where's your cell phone?

"The One Thing I Know!"

"Device Machine Dependent"
Many robot images in science fiction stories and movies are depicted with expressionless, non-human-like features; even though many of them are crafted with eyes and mouths. It could be assumed the representation of eyes, ears, and mouths are a comfort-zone interface designed to allow human beings the benefit of comradery with these service-provider machines. But why is it?
