HBCUConnect.com, the MEGA-site dedicated to Historically Black Colleges and Universities just returned from New York, New York, via Cheyney, PA.
Janelle Williams and the Sophomore class officers (class of 2007) organized the trip and HBCUConnect.com got involved as a sponsor to "round out" the experience. "We wanted the kids to incur as few costs as possible on their trip, so we made sure that transportation costs were covered to and from NY for 80 students, as well as Meals." said HBCUConnect's Daniel Moss.
The Cheyney students not only were a part of two tapings of BET's #1 show 106 & Park, but they also dined at World famous "Justin's" Restaurant and Bar, owned by international superstar and HBCU alumnus (Howard University) Sean "Puffy" Combs.
To add icing to the cake, DTP (Disturbing Tha Peace) - yes, THE "LUDACRIS" DTP folks, and Derek and Goose over there made sure that the kids didn't leave empty handed either. They gave the kids posters and music galore.
