ALLEN MALDONADO TALKS SELF PRESERVATION & THE POWER OF THE WONDER YEARS (2059 hits)
Allen Maldonado is an actor who has earned in his keep. A 20 year veteran in the business at only 38 years old Allen Maldonado is proof that over night success really does takes 20 years. With a resume that boast of guest starring and lead roles on some of Hollywood's multi award winning shows like ABC'S "BLACKISH," Allen has hit stride and has become one of the most sought after actors in Hollywood. He has starred in "The Last OG" (Netflix), Sneakerheads (Netflix), and we can find him in the reboot of the 1990's cult class hip hop film"House Party" and is currently starring has the dedicated "Coach Long" in the remake of The Wonder Years. Entertainment Journalist Tanisha LaVerne Grant caught up the Allen and chatted with the busy actor about the power of self preservation and The Wonder Years.
“The Wonder Years,” a reboot of the 1988 ABC sitcom of the same name, had its series premiere on Sept. 22 with new episodes airing weekly on Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. The coming-of-age comedy, this time centered on a Black family, follows the middle class Williams family through late ‘60s Montgomery, Alabama via the perspective of 12-year-old Dean (Elisha “EJ” Williams, with Don Cheadle lending his voice for narrations as adult Dean). Dulé Hill, Saycon Sengbloh, Laura Kariuki, Julian Lerner, Amari O’Neil and Milan Ray also star in the series, which is produced by 20th Television and executive produced by Lee Daniels, Saladin K. Patterson, Fred Savage, Marc Velez and Bob Daily.
