The Florida A&M University men’s golf team captured the 2019 HBCU Invitational Golf Classic on Saturday at the Summergrove Golf Club after firing a two-day total of 576.
The Rattlers dominated the event, winning by seven strokes over Prairie View A&M. The Rattlers shot an even-par 576.
Mulbe Dillard put on a strong performance, firing a team-low 69 in during Saturday’s final round. DIllard shot a total of 142. Mahindra Lutchman followed his 72 in Friday’s opening round with a 72 for a 143. Ethan Mangum shot a 144, while Logan Bryant carded a 148. Rounding out the scoring for the Rattlers was Cameron Riley with a 150.
Prairie View A&M shot a 7 over-par 583, followed by North Carolina A&T State (596), Alabama State (606), Texas Southern (620), North Carolina Central, the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore (642), Hampton (647) and Alabama A&M (666).
FAMU will travel to Gulf Shores, Ala. to participate in the Gulf Shores Collegiate at the Peninsula Golf Club on Monday, October 20th.
