ASU's National Center will commemorate the famous singer/actor/artist with a forum, luncheon & with music. It's all free and open to the public.
WHEN: Wednesday (June 19), Forum: 9 a.m. - Noon; Luncheon; Musical Tribute: 2:30 p.m. - 4 p.m.
WHERE: ASU College of Education's Ralph David Abernathy Auditorium, on Harris Way.
Join us on Wednesday and do a news story on Montgomery native and superstar, the late Nat King Cole's 100th birthday celebration that is underway on the campus of Alabama State University, where his birthplace-homestead is located and commemorated with a state of Alabama Historic Marker.
Events occur all day long from a morning forum, a luncheon and a song-filled afternoon, which are all free and open to the public. See the flyer below that is loaded with all of the data you need in terms of time and place.
It is all sponsored by ASU's National Center for the Study of Civil Rights & African-American Culture.
So come on by on this awesome anniversary about a stellar-singer and actor from Montgomery who is "simply unforgettable."
