Small Businesses Offered QuickBooks 101 Workshop Free by Alabama State University's Small Bus. Dev. Center (978 hits)


ASU's Small Business Development Center reaches out to lift-up River Region's small businesses

WHEN: July 31, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.; registration at 10:30 a.m.
WHERE: Wetumpka Area Chamber of Commerce, 110 E. Bridge St. in downtown Wetumpka.

If you’re a small business owner and need solutions to accounting and credit woes, sign up for the QuickBooks 101 workshop that’s sponsored by Alabama State University's Small Business Development Center and the Wetumpka Area Chamber of Commerce.

The free workshop will be held on July 31, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (registration is at 10:30 a.m.), at the Wetumpka Area Chamber of Commerce, 110 E. Bridge St. in downtown Wetumpka.

The workshop's experts - Simplified Management Products, Inc. and LiftFund - will cover material in QuickBook's Desktop versions.

Among the topics included at the workshop are the following:
• Basic accounting;
• How to set up your company in QuickBooks;
• How to set up work with your bank accounts;
• How to set up and pay employees;
• How to pay payroll taxes;
• How to set up and work with customers;
• How to set up vendors.
During the training there will be a 30-minute credit management mini-workshop presented by LiftFund.

The QuickBooks 101 Workshop is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required because space is limited.
