I'm not her manager, I like to listen to Japanese music and I wanted to share information about this half Black/Korean artist who sings Japanese music.
This is the site I got her information from:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crystal_Kay Crystal Kay was born to an African American father, who was a bassist from New Jersey, and a Korean-born singer mother. Growing up with professional musicians as parents, she naturally became a talented singer. Crystal Kay was born and raised in Japan but she attended Kinnick High School when her father was stationed in Yokosuka. She now attends Sophia University, which is the same college Beni Arashiro currently attends; the two are good friends. She is fluent in both English and Japanese, and she has also studied French.
She first debuted her voice at the age of 6 in a television commercial, with the help of her mother.
After the well-promoted collaboration with m-flo in 2003 and a #2 album, she became known to the public. She scored her first top 10 hit with "Motherland," which was used as the ending theme for the anime Fullmetal Alchemist in 2004.
Her greatest hit single in her career so far is 2005's koi ni ochitara, which was used in the drama koi ni ochitara ~boku no seikou no himitsu~ and peaked at #2 on the weekly charts.
Her most recent collab, Two as One, which was released on October 5, 2005, is a collaboration with Chemistry.
In 2006, Crystal Kay will released a new album called 'Call Me Miss...' and has already released her first single off that album, 'Kirakuni/Together'. Kirakuni is the first single lead song that is sung in full English, aside from the title's prescence in the chorus.
