Alabama State University's Breast Cancer Awareness Month Closing Examination & Prevention Event on Monday (3475 hits)


Close out the Month with Breast Cancer Examination & Prevention Tips -
- Noted Physician Melanie Crutchfield Whitten, M.D. will Lead the Discussion -

WHEN: Monday (Oct. 30) @ 3 p.m.
WHERE: ASU's J. Garrick Hardy Student Center Theater (near ASU's Dunn-Oliver Acadome).

Monday (Oct. 30) is the last day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and what better way to close it out than to revisit what we may do to help ourselves reduce the impact of and prevent this most debilitating of diseases. That is why Alabama State University's office of Student Affairs is hosting a Breast Cancer Awareness Month Closing Examination & Prevention Event, which is led by Dr. Melanie Crutchfield Whitten, M.D.

The event will start at 3 p.m. on Monday at the J. Garrick Hardy Student Center Theater and it is free and open to the public.

Dr. Whitten is a physician in Atlanta who specializes in preventing and combating Breast Cancer. She will lead a discussion about Breast Cancer and the best ways to prevent it and reduce its impact, which includes monthly breast examinations, as well as early detection procedures.

Join us this final day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and report one more news story, which just may help positively impact someones life within our community.
