The Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod is not merely an annual festival promoted by one nation for international audiences, but a festival of music-making in which representatives of the peoples of other nations can take an active part.
The Oakwood University Aeolians, under the direction of Dr. Jason Max Ferdinand, will be competing in this international event, July 3-9. Contributions to this trip can be made online, at
www.ougiving.com. Click GIVE, and indicate that your gift is for the Aeolians.
The competition will take place at Llangollen, a picturesque North Wales town, within five hours of London by train. The winning choirs will become the custodians of a notable award, symbolic of international unity through the arts.
While on the British Isles, the Aeolians will also be performing at other venues in London, Birmingham and Manchester.
