
The Chowan University Men's Golf team moved up to sit in a tie for 13th after the second round of the NCAA DII Super Regional Tournament at The Resort at Glade Springs on Tuesday afternoon. The Hawks shaved 15 strokes off their opening round score to shoot 301 on day two of the three day tournament.

INSIDE THE SCORECARDS
Christian Fleetwood led the Hawks with a one-under 71. Fleetwood started the round birdieing two of his first four holes and went on to shoot even par before making the turn. Fleetwood picked up two birdies on the back nine going two-under on the final seven holes.
After posting an 74 in the first round of the tournament, Billy Britton continued to play well to post a one-over 73 to move into a tie for fifth heading into the final day of play. Britton had the putter working as he carded three birdies on the the back nine and finished with eight pars in the round.
Jordan Francis was able to shave two strokes off his opening round score with a final round 77.
Rich Edwards finished with a 80 for the Hawks. Steven Rhinard rounded out the scoring for the Blue and White with a 84, shaving six strokes off his first round.
UP NEXT
Chowan will look to move up the leaderboard on the final day of the NCAA DII Super Regionals with the final round on Wednesday, May 10. The Hawks start the final round on the front side teeing off at 8:20-9:00am.
