Charity Begins at Home (190 hits)

I always heard this saying, "charity begins at home", but never fully understood it until I got older. Everything we search for in life is sometimes found at home. Do you know that
we can learn so many lessons in life by being at home. We learn how to relate to others, learn from our relatives past mistakes, forgiveness, and most of all love. If you can't love your family, regardless of who they are and what they do, how can you love another (such as a friend or potential future husband/wife). Charity in the King James Version of the Bible means "Love, of the noblest and strongest kind". I also equate this saying in relation of learning to cook, clean, and other things related to the home. If you can't learn how to clean your room, how do you expect to keep your own home clean? It is essential to develop good habits that will benefit you before moving out of your parent’s house. Do you ever wonder why mommy or daddy are always saying "clean this or do that", it is not to tell you what to do as a means of control, but to help you. If you already knew how to do this, then your parent's wouldn't have to tell you. Sometimes it is better to listen and think before reacting too quickly.

I always hear the pastor say "get your house in order before Jesus comes", what I did not know was that I could relate it to how I kept my home. Did you ever wonder that when you sometimes backslide on your chores and the mess builds up, you feel disoriented sometimes; but when you clean, you feel refreshed and can think clearly.

**For those that did not grow up with any parents and who grew up in the orphanage, my heart and admiration goes out to you because you had to learn those lessons without the aid of parent's. ( watching the Antwon Fisher movie was inspirational)**

Life shows us different circumstances we are born into, it is for us to understand and be thankful for the blessings that are placed before us everyday.

I know that I don't know everything, but I am grateful for this website for the blog and giving me the opportunity to express how I feel at times. My intentions for writing on the blog is to share information or ideas that would hopefully benefit someone. It is good to hear the responses from the other bloggers. There are truly wonderful people on this site. If at one time I did offend someone, forgive me for naivety and quick reaction before analyzing the issue or topic at hand. One thing that I do know is that I want to help others before I leave this earth. I know no one can't get along with everybody, but you should at least respect them because they are a child of God. Judging people negatively and placing a label on them is not good at all. You have to understand where they are coming from by walking in their shoes, we just happen to see their negative habits first. The key to a peace of mind is forgivness for others and of self because God has already forgiven you.

That's all I have to say.

God Bless

Amen, I can not express this point enough Sis. I was talking to a police officer outside the library yesterday coincidentally and mentioned it has to start at home.
Awesome blog, also know that when You write or if only several in a Church, a legion of Angels are standing by the truth...
Many even though one is speaking in general get bumped up side the head in truth and are fake so answer not, think about it...
I did not have time to answer this earlier, but am glad I encountered this.
Keep up the good work as always Sis.
William

p.s. By the way if You came across and remember, I stated that the average parent based on the divorce rate alone is a bad parent in my blog titled, "This Ones For The Kids".
Many people took adversity to taht one... But many who been through it themselves related.
Applause for Your boldness and convictions.
This also shows mutual spirits for the most part, feel me?
