Why does it hurt??!!

Just when you think you know someone
You find out just how much they really care
You see that you deserve better
When you admit to this out loud
Attitudes and words better left unsaid
Rear their ugly heads.
Tears fall and words pass
You question why you put up with it all
It's not worth your time
It's not worth the tears.
But why does it hurt so much?
