Over its 120 year history, Oakwood University has become known for its talented musicians. Whether it comes in the form of an instrumentalist, soloist, or a group, musical talent is not something our student body lacks.
One such group has surfaced with a mission to create a resurgence of positivity throughout the student body. Giving God glory through the musical gifts He has bestowed upon them has become their main purpose. Since its inception on April 9, 2013, the group Doxa has taken this campus by storm, and have proven in a short time that what God ordains can only be blessed.
Doxa performs around campus at various events and services. They can also be seen campus praying with students and getting involved with the community. They have also recently taken on the task of fundraising to release an extended play (Ep) recording in the near future. All in all, they have proven that they are more than just the harmonies they sing, but ministers in winning souls for Jesus.
