AT&T to Present "The Brand of YOU" Panel Discussion; Hill Harper to Moderate (2165 hits)

There’s more than one way to observe a N.C. A&T Homecoming; education and empowerment chief among them.

As students celebrate, telecommunications conglomerate AT&T will utilize its national platform to continue to invest in local education by hosting “The Brand of You,” from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 25, on the university’s campus in the Alumni Foundation Event Center. The panel discussion will focus on the importance of positive individual branding on social media and its ramifications.

“At AT&T, we are committed to helping students prepare for success, to strengthening schools and communities, and to expanding the talent pipeline for tomorrow’s workforce,” said Venessa Harrison, President of AT&T North Carolina. “Education has been our priority for more than a century, for we believe in the potential of all young people. We are excited to bring this program to NC A&T to help students prepare for new opportunities and fulfill their dreams.”

Moderated by actor and activist Hill Harper, panelists will include, April Harley, fundraising and strategic relationship professional; Greg Hill, speaker, podcaster, author and consultant; Jazmine Harrison, lead consultant and development programs for AT&T; Jordan Greene, 2016-17 N.C. A&T SGA president; and Kacey Dangerfield, speech pathologist and audiologist and lifestyle blogger.

“This is a significant opportunity for our students to engage with working professionals who are eager to share information with them that will impact their lives beyond N.C. A&T,” said Chancellor Harold L. Martin Sr. “Programs like this enable our students to establish meaningful relationships with industry leaders and empower them to think strategically about their future careers. We are grateful for our partnership with AT&T and their continued support of our students.”

The group will discuss topics of relevance to students in relation to the tools and technology can create limitless possibilities in their educational and professional pursuits.

Food and giveaways will be provided. This event is free and open to N.C. A&T students, but tickets are required. Contact the N.C. A&T Ticket Office at 336-334-7749 for more information.
