I get this often but this scenario I dwelled on the most.
To be sitting in Wendy's (I like those grilled chicken sandwiches with the honey mustard sauce), tea and chili (ran out of those potato's) and reading the sports page at the end of a long day. Sitting to myself, just wanting a break.
Then this 2 yr old little girl went to calling out to me saying mommy look! I was the only black person in there besides the servers.
The beautiful little girl as she and her mom were leaving asked her mom could she walk up to me and reached to give me a hug, I looked at her mother and her mother gave me the eyes of reassurance that it was ok, I was not trying to be rude to the girl but also respecting her as a stranger due to it is a crazy world out there.
This 2 yr old little girl hugs me aroung the neck, gives me a kiss on the cheek and stated, "I Love YOUUUUUUUUUU!".
She waved good by, grabbed her mom's hand and walked out the door.
I had never seen her beofre and sat there perplexed as to why thatv happened because all things happen for a reason.
Just sharing my thoughts.
