Let's Help This Spelman University Student Stay In School. (3186 hits)

As everyone knows, getting accepted into college and staying in college are 2 separate animals. In today's world, unless you are running on a full scholarship, it takes quite a bit of your own money to attend college. Some people work part-time to stay in school, some compete with hundreds or thousands of others to win scholarships to stay in school, and some borrow money to stay which are to be paid back eventually. Either way, it is a difficult process that future and current students face every year: How am I going to pay for this semester/quarter?

Enter Kierrah Gordon, sophomore at Spelman College. Due to unforeseen circumstances that became quite clear over the last month, she has to come up with some finances to get her through her first semester of her sophomore year. Although she plans to get a part-time job to help defer costs and help with the following semester, she still needs help to take that first step by being able to attend school this fall.

She has set up a GoFundMe page that has raised nearly $1,500 in 5 days and she would like to ask for your help, if possible. Check out her story and GoFundMe page at https://www.gofundme.com/25a2fes and if you are able to assist, please do so that she would be able to get back on track on her journey at Spelman College.

Thank you.
