Rescued

You wonder why
I keep making these mistakes
But the truth is, baby
There is so much for me at stake.
I'm scared.
I'm scared that you'll leave me
Simply for another.
I'm scared that you'll leave me
The way my ex's did
I kept these thoughts to myself
Under a tight lid.
Everything is all good
When I don't think about them
But when I do
Out comes the problems again.
I'm attached,
I cling to you
Because with you I feel safe
That's one of the reasons why
I feel the need to see you everyday.
I know it's unhealthy
But I can't help it
Our heart together
Are a perfect fit.
Before you came, I felt lost
Life wasn't as meaningful as it is now
I prayed to god to send me eyes to understand
And he sent you to show me how.
