Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) alumna Cheryl Harris is one of the leading minds behind Allstate’s Quotes for Education initiative, established in 2009 as a means of providing financial support to students who are attending HBCUs.
The most recent chapter of the initiative, “the HBC-I-Owe-U Program,” is currently underway. Allstate is currently donating $10 to the Tom Joyner Foundation for every insurance quote received through the Allstate Quotes for Education Program. In addition, the program will provide $50,000 dollars in scholarships to the HBCU that has been voted as the 2015 “fan favorite.”
