Missing good ol' FAMU:(
I've been thinking a lot and regreting a lot about Y I left Florida A&M Univ. I wish I would have stayed and graduated there instead of coming home to Detroit like I did. I made a split second decision and it upsets me now that things didn't work out how I planned. I can't even study the lovely Theatre I was studying because at this new European centered theatre program it doesn't have the rich history plus the ups and downs and accomplishments that "black theatre" has. I wasn't passionate about the theatre they tried to teach me here, so my whole major changed and my life got flipped upside down. I'm doing better and will graduate with a degree in something I love soon. But of course a further graduation b/c theatre has nothing to do with Social Work. But it's cool I'm getting through it, besides theres still grad school where I can be an HBCU alum:)
How was life at FAMU?I giving thought about attending.Whats the ups and downs?
