The Rev. Al Sharpton was left fuming mad after the Oscars revealed its all-white list of nominees for this year's Oscar awards on Thursday.

"The movie industry is like the Rocky Mountains, the higher you get, the whiter it gets," Sharpton quipped in a statement released later in the afternoon.

Sharpton, a critic of the lack of diversity in Hollywood, also announced he was holding an "emergency meeting" next week to address the issue.

"I have called an emergency meeting early next week in Hollywood with the task force to discuss possible action around the Academy Awards," he said.

The prestigious awards ceremony was widely criticized after its nominees for best actor, best actress, and best director were all white. In the past two decades this has happened only one other time, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Sharpton praised the Oscars for nominating the civil-rights film "Selma" for best picture, but said it was "ironic" because the film is based on Dr. Martin Luther King's marches.

Said Sharpton: "The lack of diversity in today's Oscar nominations is appalling and while it is good that Selma was nominated for 'Best Picture,' it's ironic that they nominated a story about the racial shutout around voting while there is a racial shutout around the Oscar nominations. With all of the talent in Selma and other Black movies this year, it is hard to believe that we have less diversity in the nominations today than in recent history."

I know that I am right when I say that we as a people should use of the tools that is offered to us to receive the knowledge we can to educate ourselves.

I you have a computer, make sure that you learn all of its capabilities because never before has we as a people had so much power at our finger tips. We can tap into the Black Americans histories and our heritage's, we can find our roots and trace them back through history, we are a people with a connection way before some thug plantation owners. We as a people can trace our history back to those powerful Black people who wrote the laws we abide by to this day. We has a people who mapped out the stars in which ships navigate the oceans by Night. Had knowledge about the herbs and the plants which made MEDS, long before the European left the caves. We are the Hebrew people that the Arabs was selling into the slave trade. We are the Hebrew people that the Romans ruled over and then kicked us out of the lands of Yizreal. renamed the main characters of the Bible, Yahweh to GOD, Yeshua to Jesus, Miryam to Mary or places like Mizraim to Egypt

I can go on and on about the knowledge of the Black Hebrew people history in Africa and in the America's and about n*gga's who refuses to even take a look for the proof, at the truth when they have this powerful tools call the computer right in front of them.

Please Brother Doctor Gregory V. Boulware forgive me going off on this rant but this is the kind of aptitude civil rights leadership like Al Sharpton will run into, many of them don't know that he is on TV five days a week at 5:00 PM on MSNBC.

I pray that more of our people WAEK UP and come together before our rights to vote are taken away, benefits are taken away, educational benefits are taken away, this is real and not some racial NON SENCE.
