What is heritage? (1784 hits)

The definition of heritage is something belonging to Black Americans by birth. Some ignorant Black Americans say our heritage go back to the mother-land Africa.

Following the definition of the word heritage I know Black American were not born on African-land and therefore Black America’s heritage has nothing to do with Africa.

Black Americans were born or came into existence right here on this continent of North America. Therefore, our heritage will begin here since we were born here during the era of plantation slavery.

I am destining to wipe out all the ignorance and stupidity of my Black American people by the end of the day.

Who dare to say that I am wrong?

Then according to your same twisted logic, white America's heritage has nothing to do with Europe. Right Harry?

Well, in a nutshell heritage is that which has been handed down to us from the past through our forebears, that family legacy which we have inherited from our ancestors.

There are 2 types of heritage: (1) Personal Heritage, and (2) Cultural Heritage.

Personal heritage is anything that doesn't necessarily have value in themselves, but are instead symbolic. Examples are pictures of an ancestor, old letters or birthday cards, paintings, figurines, books, family heirlooms, etc.

Cultural heritage is intangible things that are important to/in a society. Intangible things would include spiritual beliefs, language, music, social customs/traditions (like Kwanzaa), monuments, or a recipe that is common in your culture.

So basically. Personal heritage=important and symbolic to YOU. Cultural heritage=important and symbolic of your CULTURE.

Steve,

I am not promoting White America's heritage. I am explaining and promoting Black America's heritage. So, when you exit me a question about White America and Europe how we'll might to know the answers especially when I am not a European?

Siebra,

I don't know where you are trying to take the theme of my blog. The bottom line of my blog is whether Black America's heritage is Africa or North America? We know that we are descendents of plantation slaves and we know that plantation slavery did not occur in Africa. All plantation slaves will on this continent of North America.

The question the blog is asking the viewer when you consider all the circumstances am I right that Black America's heritage is rooted in the soil and in the blood of our ancestors. How our experiences in plantation slavery can have anything to do with Africa?

Please answer the question, is Black America's heritage in North America or Africa?

Harry, it goes directly to the question of whether Christianity in this country is the white man's religion. That cannot be so if white Americans are not Europeans.

Steve Williams
Steve,

White America are European gentiles!

You're not reasoning in a straight line Harry. If black Americans have nothing to do with Africa, then white Americans have nothing to do with Europe.

Steve Williams
Steve,

What is missing from the equation is plantation slavery. White Americans did not experience plantation slavery. Perhaps if White Americans had experience plantation slavery White America would be a new race of people.

Steve,

What is it exactly you are trying to prove?
Thursday, June 12th 2014 at 5:26PM

Harry, there are only 1.8 million black Americans who claim white ancestors.

Siebra,

You are out of focus and I tried to let you know that in my last reply to you.

This blog is whether Black American heritage is Africa or North America as I say Black American heritage is. Heritage is something you inherit by way of birth and in this case the something we are talking about is real estate/land; Africa or the continent of North America.

No Black Americans were born on the continent of Africa since no Black Americans exited the slave ships. All the slave passengers that exited the slave ships were all African people from different parts of Africa. Black Americans did not exist yet.

Black Americans started coming into existence when the old White slave mass the systemically bred himself with his slaves for approximately 300 years. At the end of 300 years we had a new race of people; Black Americans.

We are not talking about personal status, characteristics or any historical building. I am talking about an entire race of 41 million people came from somewhere and where we came from was right here on this continent during plantation slavery.

Where do you get the figure 41 million Harry?
Thursday, June 12th 2014 at 7:23PM
Steve Williams
Steve,

Last census taken four years ago!
Thursday, June 12th 2014 at 7:54PM
Harry Watley
That's my point Harry. The census counted the number of Americans of African descent, not descent from plantation slaves.

Steve Williams
Steve,

What is missing out of your calculation is how brilliant I am. I know who the people were that were counted. In other words I'm not fooled!

You are not smarter than I am! In fact, you are stupid.

How do you know who the people were? 42 million is a lot of people Harry, and you are one man.

Steve,

How do I know who the 41 million people are? Idiot the 41 million people would be the people that check the box African-American. That's how I would know. He was stupid because you are not able to think things thoroughly through. You are as stupid as most Black Americans are and you did not go through the storm of plantation slavery. You have no business to be so stupid especially being a White man.

Okay Harry, so every person that identified themselves as African American you overrule and call them Black American. I call you a fool.

Steve,

It seems that because I gave you the right answer you would say that I am a fool. You are a racist!

How can you call me a fool when the issue is about my Black American people and I am a Black American, but you are White disagreeing with how I am handling my Black American people?

Can't you see that is extreme racism coming from you that Robert talks so much about?

Anyone can study history, even you Harry.

"As for Priscilla, we know that within ten years of her arrival in South Carolina, she married another slave named Primus and had one child, Peter, and by 1763 married another slave named Jeffrey with whom she had nine children, the last born in 1786. Did she do the oppressive work in the rice fields, suffering in the heat, murky water, and endless plagues of insects? Or did she work closer to the plantation house—perhaps washing clothes? We do not know how she spent her days, but we can be sure that she proved extremely hardy or lucky, as a slave in rice country bearing so many children and living until 1811, about age 65. What makes her story so fascinating is that we can not only document her enslavement from the start, but identify some of her descendants that still live in the region today, discovered by Edward Ball while researching his popular book. They represent a tiny handful of American families who can without breaks trace their roots directly back to Africa."

Gentlemen,

I don't want to talk about stupid stuff. Talking about apology is utterly stupid! I want to talk about fruitful things; Black Americans having a country of our own do you think is our permanent solution?

HARRY
I have found that you HARRY don't give a shi* about nothing but what your slave owners want you to produce and that is the LIE that the Black American is not a creation of God. Also you don't give a damn about your Brothers and Sisters who challenge this narrow-minded BS that you pulled out of your as* of being a prophet. One thing that I have seen that you have earned is the title of: "First Black American Ginuwine Lying FALSE PROPHET."

I see that you still have not apologized yet for calling me some vile, out of my name on Face Book and you act that nothing is going on. I have drew the line right here with you HARRY, I want your apologize right now from you now and your promise to respect all the Brothers and Sisters here on BLACK IN AMERICA.

Talking about respect your Brothers and Sisters is the most important thing one can do on BLACK IN AMERICA.

I am calling on your respect.
