Baltimore City Comptroller
The Comptroller is a graduate of Hampton University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. She also received a Masters of Science degree in taxation from the University of Baltimore.
Comptroller Pratt is a Certified Public Accountant and is professionally trained in financial management, including auditing, debt consolidation, financial planning and budgeting.
She is one of three citywide elected officials and is a voting member of the Board of Estimates. Comptroller Pratt is a voting member of the Board of Finance, the Architectural and Engineering Commission and chairs the Expenditure Control Committee and the Space Utilization Committee..
Comptroller Pratt's further responsibilities include serving as chairman of the Employees' Retirement System, City of Baltimore, Maryland, the Elected Officials' Retirement System, and Trustee of the Fire and Police Employees' Retirement System, whose pensions are collectively valued at more than $1.3 billion.
The Comptroller is very active in the community and her board affiliations include: Trustee of Bethel A.M.E. Church, and a Board Member on the Park Reist Corridor Coalition. She was recognized as one of Maryland's Top 100 Women. She is committed to the mentoring of young people and has helped many to enter into the financial field.
