JUST HOW DID THE ETHIOPIANS BECOME DESIGNATED AS THE "FALASHA" OR "BETA JEWS"? (6661 hits)

According to biblical mythology, a beautiful Afrikan woman named the Queen of Sheba journey's to judaica because she's heard about, and wants to see this brilliant man named King Solomon, hoping he could cure her, because according to legend she had feet like a calf's hove.

NOTE: notice how the actual name of this "queen" of Sheba is never mentioned.

Sadly...people think sheba's her actual name LOL!! The name "sheba" (which is the name of the land by the way), literally means "sabien", which translates into "ethiopian"

Well anyway, according to the story, once Solomon laid eyes on her, he falls in love and impregnates her. She returns back to Ethiopia and has a baby by the name of "Menelik".

Now since he's the son of Solomon, his lineage/offspring is the alleged beginning of the falasha or beta jews starting in Ethiopia.

Rule #1: HISTORICALLY none of that sh*t ever happened. There's NO SUCH THING as a "historical israelite/jew/hebrew".

Rule #2: they ONLY exist within the pages of judeo-christian literature.

Ethiopia was NEVER a judeo-christian country until the middle of the 19th century, when christian missionaries went over there and FORCED their dyophysitic chrisitian ideology on them. This is also a time when there was a HUGE influx of european imperial powers that sent their missionaries into Afrika, and forced/indoctrinated them with biblical teachings.

So how exactly did Ethiopians became the "beta/falasha jews"?

Here's how:

The israelite universal alliance of paris france sent a scholar by the name of Joseph Halevi into Ethiopia in 1867, for the SOLE purpose of connecting with the beta jews.

But when he got there he found christians instead of practicing jews LOL!!

So he went to the Ethiopian elders to inquire about the falasha jews, and they had NO IDEA of what he was talkin' about. So he with the financial backing of the universal alliance of paris, began basically "creating" this beta jew faction in ethiopia.

Halevi thoroughly documents ALL of this in his memoirs!

In 1900 this same group (israelite universal alliance), sent a turkish rabbi by the name of Naheem Nahum, to investigate how well Halevi's efforts were in changing the culture from that of christianity to judaism.

His reports indicated that Halevi's efforts weren't very effective at all. So in 1913 they sent another guy by the name of Josh Falevic to correct this.

He stayed in Ethiopia doing this from 1913-55 (until his death).

Now here's where I need y'all to think family:

If our people in Ethiopia at that time, i.e. these "falashas" or "beta israel jews", were already jews in practice, then they would've ALREADY had their own synagogues and jewish teachings when these judeo-christian white folks arrived!

They wouldn't have saw a NEED to force upon them the so called "jewish" customs/teachings from the Old Testament, if they were already jews!

This forced tradition on our people in Ethiopia, is HOW this "black hebrew/israelite" nonsense came into our cognitive awareness!

I guarantee you that you won't EVER find ANY HISTORICAL EVIDENCE of ANY group of Afrikan/black people that ever called themselves "hebrews", "israelites", or "jews, PRIOR TO our contact with white folks and their judeo-christian literature!

Nor will you ever find any of our ancestors that ever called themselves by these terms in ANY of their "original language(s)" either!

That's how you know that the old: "we're (black folks) the original jews/hebrews/israelites" claim is total horse sh*t!

Religious mythology/tradition/beliefs won't ever give you this kinda information.

Only the researching of what HISTORY dictates will..

MÜNSTER, Germany -- Muhammad Sven Kalisch, a Muslim convert and Germany's first professor of Islamic theology, fasts during the Muslim holy month, doesn't like to shake hands with Muslim women and has spent years studying Islamic scripture. Islam, he says, guides his life.

So it came as something of a surprise when Prof. Kalisch announced the fruit of his theological research. His conclusion: The Prophet Muhammad probably never existed.

Read a translated excerpt from "Islamic Theology Without the Historic Muhammad -- Comments on the Challenges of the Historical-Critical Method for Islamic Thinking" by Professor Kalisch.

Muslims, not surprisingly, are outraged. Even Danish cartoonists who triggered global protests a couple of years ago didn't portray the Prophet as fictional. German police, worried about a violent backlash, told the professor to move his religious-studies center to more-secure premises.

"We had no idea he would have ideas like this," says Thomas Bauer, a fellow academic at Münster University who sat on a committee that appointed Prof. Kalisch. "I'm a more orthodox Muslim than he is, and I'm not a Muslim."

When Prof. Kalisch took up his theology chair four years ago, he was seen as proof that modern Western scholarship and Islamic ways can mingle -- and counter the influence of radical preachers in Germany. He was put in charge of a new program at Münster, one of Germany's oldest and most respected universities, to train teachers in state schools to teach Muslim pupils about their faith.

Muslim leaders cheered and joined an advisory board at his Center for Religious Studies. Politicians hailed the appointment as a sign of Germany's readiness to absorb some three million Muslims into mainstream society. But, says Andreas Pinkwart, a minister responsible for higher education in this north German region, "the results are disappointing."

Prof. Kalisch, who insists he's still a Muslim, says he knew he would get in trouble but wanted to subject Islam to the same scrutiny as Christianity and Judaism. German scholars of the 19th century, he notes, were among the first to raise questions about the historical accuracy of the Bible.

Many scholars of Islam question the accuracy of ancient sources on Muhammad's life. The earliest biography, of which no copies survive, dated from roughly a century after the generally accepted year of his death, 632, and is known only by references to it in much later texts. But only a few scholars have doubted Muhammad's existence. Most say his life is better documented than that of Jesus.

I have a question. Why would you write a post that falsely represents Ethiopian Jews? Are you trolling or trying to discredit them? I believe you know the truth but might dislike it. Truth remains truth, regardless of personal feelings, and your post is subjective with no factual basis. Israel welcomed Ethiopian Jews because they recognized their ethnic Jewish heritage. Claiming there were no Jews in Ethiopia until the 19th century is simply incorrect. The Bible mentions Ethiopia numerous times, and the Ethiopian eunuch was a Jew before becoming the first Christian baptized. He was traveling to the temple in Israel to worship as a Jew, not a Christian. Additionally, Queen Judith and Queen Candace were Ethiopian Jews. Your post significantly undermines your credibility.
