Along with the Selma City School System and Dallas County Schools, Selma's collegiate system saw the return of students this week.
Selma University, a Christian Bible college, had more than 500 students return to its campus on Monday. President of Selma University, Dr. Alvin A. Cleveland said everything is looking very good at the start of a new school year and there is an expansion on the way. Registration concluded on Monday and he said this was a busy time for the school.
"We started with registration on Wednesday and we have been busy every since so things are looking very good," Cleveland said. "Its good to see returning students because that's always a good sign when they come back after having spent a year or two years here. It is always an exciting sign because it lets you know that you are meeting their needs and they are satisfied with what you are doing.
