NASHVILLE- Soundtrack Entertainment announces the Soundtrack Beat Battle will host its final beat battle showcase in sight of making music history across the nation. The Soundtrack Beat Battle is the brainchild of the ingenious MTSU Alumni and Memphis Native Coko Korinne and provides an urban music platform for undiscovered producer and musicians to showcase their talents among many industry executives worldwide.
This event will be held Saturday December 1, 2012 at the Marathon Music Works Venue, located at 1402 Clinton Street. Nashville, Tenn. 37203. Doors open at 9 p.m. and the event kickoffs at 10 p.m. Tickets are $8 in advance and $12 at the door.
The Soundtrack Beat Battle grand prizewinner will receive an Ableton Software Package, a pitch meeting with Timeless Entertainment, an exclusive feature in Electronic Musician Magazine, and the opportunity to produce, record and shoot a video with rapper Rich Boy at SAE studios in Nashville, TN.
This year there are 12 semi-finalists selected from hundreds around the world. Now, they will have the opportunity to give everything during a live “Sudden Death Challenge” to begin their journey to become one of the top eight competing finalists at the Soundtrack Beat Battle’s grand finale. At this year’s beat battle, the finalists will be critiqued by top music experts Rapper Rich Boy, best known for the hit song “Throw Some D’s On It”, Music Manager Drae Jackson, A&R Executive Charles C, and Producer Sonny Digital.
"We have some Veterans returning who refuse to lose this year, along with some rookies who are coming to prove that they are a force to be reckon with. And since this is our last beat battle...I am expecting for this event to be epic. This is bound to go down in history as the best beat battle ever", says Coko.
With an event like the Soundtrack Beat Battle, different genres of music will set the tone for Nashville. It is bittersweet to end this event, but many opportunities will be offered to the all music communities beyond Country music. Though, the Soundtrack Beat Battle may be concluding its beats in the Music City, its legacy will live on beyond the beat.
