The Beyonce` Controversy (238 hits)

Of course, where there is Beyonce` Knowles there will always be 'controversy'. Naturally, being in the company of a strikingly attractive, mega-talented diva doesn't always bring out the best in some people. Apparently, rumors have it that Beyonce's skin shade was lightened a few shades in her appearance in November's issue of Vanity Fair magazine. People, is this anything new? Haven't you seen celebrities look 'real' good on the cover of other magazines before? We know that they have been airbrushed. So, what if Beyonce` WAS 'airbrushed'? HELLO?? Does it change the fact that she is still a very pretty girl? Of course, not!

I don't know about you, but personally, I think there are too many other things happening in the world that should demand our attention.

Is Beyonce` the color of 'vanilla latte' or 'caramel frappacino'? Does it matter? They're both beautiful shades.

I think people should spend more time helping those people that were hurtin Hurricane Katrina. Stop worrying about celebrities because they are only people. Beyonce is just a person like everybody else and color doesnt matter- integrity does. I think she would agree with that statement so we should move on right?.....right!

I think that Beyonce is to busy trying to be white instead of just being real (like Alicia Keys.) Alicia Keys is half but she is more black than Beyonce.

That is just ridiculous!!! Who cares if you are not black enough for some people? Somebody always has something to say. If everyone would focus on themselves, we would have a much better atmosphere around us.

It shouldn't matter what color your skin is or what shade you are, but I can understand some ppls concern. Beyonce is a beautiful and very talented black women. She is a role model to many of our youths. There aren't many main stream African Americans that the "Media" protrary in a bright light. So, it hurts and upsets some blk ppl when they see her with a blonde hair weave, blue contact lens, or close to white skin b/c that isn't the natural essence of a blk women. Personally I don't care, Image is everything now, so she does what works for her, but I know many ppl who dislike her and many other blacks for this reason.
