I can't room with my TWIN!

Nzinga Smith · Thursday, August 11th 2005 at 1:21AM · 357 views
Housing has me rooming with my twin sister. I love her to death, but I've been living with her for 18 years. I need a break! I have been calling housing almost everyday and they still haven't changed my room assignment. School is around the corner and I hope things get straight. What should I do?

Don't feel bad! my cousins are twins and they're goin to Georgia and they got stuck at University of Georgia together and they have to be roomates until the semester ends. Isn't college supposed to be about new experiences and diversifying and meeting new ppl. i'd be mad too but at least she's somebody you trust and you can confide in!!

Trust me as much stuff that goes on at FAMU. I bet that you rarely see each otherexcept for when yall come home. I think you should stay due to trust issues. Actually since you are both in college now. I think this is a great time to be there for each other you both are goin through a lot of changes in college. Girl it aint that bad. It'll be better than you think. Just don't go into the situation negatively or you 're goin to have negative results because you are ready think is going to bad experience. Good luck and Welcome To FAMU!!!

How did they even do that? aren't they supposed to match you together based on personality and if someone requests to be your roommate you both have to agree right? Girl I know how you feel I can't wait to get away from my brother. I understand what everyone is saying about trust, but college is about meeting new ppl and learning to make it on your own. it's time for you and your sister to be your own persons

Let me tell you from experience. Me and my twin stayed together and It was the best thing. You will still have new experiences but the most important thing is the trust. Of course you two may clash at times but twins have a special bond (majority) its easier to work out issues with your sister than someone who may not care about you one way or the other. Trust me you should stay in the room with your sister.

Deep article and good job You post Your convictions.
I know You have talked with her about, what other steps have You taken? Just asking and meaning well Sis.
I have worked as an RA for the Dorms and changing room assignments especially for those who get along with each other is the same as most people resist change.
