A Word of Encouragement
Anyone that is in school or working to accomplish a dream knows how stressful it can get. This is my second year in college, studying to receive a BS in Corporate Communications. Just the other day I felt like giving up. You pay so much money and dedicate all of your time to school, then you wonder if it's really worth it. Like what am I here for? There is school of course, after school clubs, a job, homework, then attempting to still squeeze in a social life somehow. I was overwhelmed with everything that was going on and began to question my purpose.
Then a lovely woman, my mother reminded me of just how lucky I am. There are some people that wish they had an education but they aren't as fortunate. The road is a rocky one. Maybe it seems like what you're doing now doesn't count for much but it does. Someone somewhere is proud of you. Maybe you'll be the first in your family to graduate college like me. When it’s all said and done, there are people that you are encouraging because you helped to pave the way.
So yes, it's hard but I encourage anyone reading this just to stick in it to the end because your hard work will pay off. When you're the CEO of a company or riding around in your fancy car, you'll be glad that you hung in there and when that day comes for me, I'll be glad too.
