So, inspired by answers and insights from America’s young people, she compiled Hope, Change and Obama. “The book is dedicated to Barack Obama, the First Family, and all of civil rights leaders that made this moment in history possible,” explains Smith – who holds graduate degrees in business and law and is the current Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development for a community college in Texas. Because of her passion for education and her devotion to young people, a portion of the net proceeds from the sale of the book will help fund scholarships for college students across the USA.
