Rapper Lil’ Kim Gets One Year Term for Lying to Federal Grand Jury

Tupac, Shyne, C-Murder, Slick Rick .. and now, there’s Lil’ Kim.
The diminutive rapper, known for raunchy lyrics and an even raunchier sense of style, was sentenced to one year -- and a day -- in prison for perjury during testimony surrounding a 2001 shoot-out in front of a New York radio station.
Lil’ Kim, whose real name is Kimberly Jones, was also fined $50,000. The sentence is minimal compared to the 20 years she could have received -- five years each on three counts of perjury and one count of conspiracy.
