Intern-Computer Architectures
SRI International’s Center for Vision Technologies (CVT) offers end-to-end computer vision solutions that translate into real-world applications. Our scientists have pioneered real-time, real-world systems in multimodal (text, audio, and vision) analytics, Machine Learning (ML), stereo processing, object recognition, activity recognition and integrated sensor and processing solutions. We continue today to advance real-time computer vision algorithms directly applicable into real-world applications.
CVT's Vision Systems lab is looking for a creative and energetic summer and/or fall intern with a strong academic and practical background in traditional and/or artificial intelligence computer vision system circuit design. A successful candidate needs to demonstrate the ability to assist in developing strong analog and digital circuit design based on algorithms. The right candidate will possess a strong technical background, algorithm modeling/simulation experience and understanding methods for working across different program teams.
Responsibilities:
-Chip design in digital and analog circuits under guidance of program hardware architects.
-Support research and development for state-of-the-art edge computing architectures.
-Work closely with our algorithm teams to develop, simulate and validate machine learning algorithms, processing in memory (PIM) architecture and co-design of hardware circuits.
Qualifications & Requirements
-Working towards a PhD in Computer Engineering, computing hardware architectures, machine learning or related field
-Having experience in analog or digital design
-Ability to model and emulate Processing in Memory circuits
-Have experience in embedded system design, debug, and programming
The salary range is: $30-$45/hr. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program.
