The Site Controller is responsible for all aspects of the preparation of forecasting & management reporting for Leica Biosystems Vista. They will have responsibility for all financial records and associated internal control environments working closely with the shared service center in Cincinnati who perform the sites transactional accounting. Working closely with the Global Finance Director of Advance Staining and Pathology Imaging Instruments (who is based in Melbourne, Australia) and as a business partner to the Site Leader, Vista Operations, site stakeholders (including functional leads) & management teams, they will drive organizational and operational improvements to support financial growth and success. Major Responsibilities Direct ownership of preparation of forecasts and monthly financial reporting tools, with thoughtful analysis of trends. Coordination and preparation of financial processes including Budget and standard within the frame of issued financial targets. Continuously develop appropriate key performance indicators to drive growth, improve profitability, and enhance productivity. Deliver high value-added financial insight to the relevant management teams to support operational and strategic decision making. Manage the relationship with the shared service center in Cincinnati to ensure that accounting responsibilities are delivered. Partner with and actively involve stakeholders throughout the business to ensure financial management responsibilities are understood and financial goals are exceeded. Deploy targets and proactively work with stakeholders across the business to ensure risks are identified and properly counter measured. Ensure high quality of and accountability for data within SAP, including accuracy and completeness of standard costs. Develop, modify and execute department and corporate policies and procedures Provide leadership, guidance and development for the Financial Analyst. Acting as an integral member of the site management team providing leadership to the wider business relating to financial management and commercial decision making.
Required Skills/Experience The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field. 10 years of relevant experience with at least 5+ years working in Manufacturing or Operations Finance in total (or, at minimum, the most recent 3 years) Demonstrated prowess at handling the technical financial elements of the role while at the same showing interest in and acumen with the business partnering elements of the position. Prior experience as the senior Finance leader at an operational site Prior success with managing relationships/influencing teams (both inside and outside of Finance) Experience in manufacturing and knowledge of standard costing Strong written and verbal presentation skills International experience working within a matrix environment preferable A CPA is a strong plus, but not required Advanced skills with MS Office (particularly Excel), prior experience with a major, integrated ERP (SAP or Oracle), prior experience and comfort level with financial planning & consolidation software (Hyperion, BPC, Cognos, etc); experience with PowerBI or similar tools are a strong plus
