Job Summary

This position will develop and execute successful sales strategies for rapid revenue growth and market share expansion in territory. Work collaboratively with Sales, Service and Applications counterparts to achieve Leica Biosystems performance targets while exceeding customer expectations.

Major Responsibilities

  • The Sales Specialist will achieve annual product sales goals set for the territory while working in coordination with the local assigned team within their territory.

  • The Sales Specialist will maintain accurate and timely opportunity funnel and customer data in SFDC with coaching as needed.

  • The associate will achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through delivery of sales and support assistance and coordinate product demo, installs, and customer training with support from manager and/or mentor.

  • Work with prospective and current customers to increase Leica Biosystems' influence and presence across territories.

  • Monitor and develop awareness of competitive activities and strategies.

  • Utilize Strategic Selling tools (Blue sheets) with mentorship and guidance.

  • Develop on products, DBS, LBS Tools (such as DOMO, Showpad, Territory Business Reviews).

Education:

Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science OR equivalent work experience

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant sales (or equivalent experience)

  • Proven time management skills

  • Proven contract negotiation and high-level selling experience, or selling in a matrixed environment

  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM software

  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Desired Skills:

Prior capital sales experience

Internal Applications or Field Service requirements for P3A Level:

3+ years of experience in customer-facing role

Endorsement from current manager; Applicants manager must be able to confirm the following: Associate has proven experience driving attachment; has confidence having difficult conversations with customers and has strong partnership with sales counterparts, including the uncovering of sales leads.

Requires VP Sales approval

Travel:

  • 50-75%

  • Must Possess a valid Drivers license

  • Ability to travel overnight for territory coverage (if applicable) and/or for company meetings

Work environment:

While performing the duties of this job, most work is in an office environment setting. Lighting and temperature are adequate. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
