We are currently recruiting for an experienced HR professional to partner and advise our Manufacturing/Operations and Quality functions. This role is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement and will office at our Ashland, VA plant with occasional travel to plants in Iowa and Texas. Will also spend time with the broader HR and leadership team in the ChemTreat corporate office Glen Allen.

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) position acts as a partner on matters related to people management, associate relations, training and development, performance management, onboarding, and implementation of policies and procedures. The HRBP will be the main point of contact for associates and managers and will proactively support the delivery of HR processes and services.

Essential functions & responsibilities

  • Provide support with a specific focus on employee advocacy/engagement, HR fundamentals and process training, employee relations management, performance management, career development, and talent assessment, acquisition and retention.

  • Be an associate advocate and assist with leading talent groups in the areas of associate engagement, including the annual company-wide Engagement Survey, training and development programs, policy and procedure inquiries, and performance management.

  • Support clients and business leaders in bi-annual organizational design and organizational talent assessment processes by partnering through organizational planning activities

  • Identify emerging and key talent and collaborate with leaders and Talent Management in the creation and execution of experiential development plans.

  • Support the onboarding and offboarding of associates, including remotely based associates.

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.

  • Deliver associate trainings including the organization and facilitation of education sessions and new associate orientation.

  • Conduct exit interviews with terminating associates as needed.

  • Manage cross-functional HR Projects

Requirements:

  • BA or BS degree

  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and successfully using DBS (Danaher Business Systems) or a SMAIC based system to improve processes

  • Relationship building and influencing skills, including comfort around and ability to coach senior leaders

  • Analytical skills and business knowledge

  • Organizational skills; self-management

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal: including presentation skills

  • The ability to maintain confidential information

  • Continuous improvement mentality
