We are expanding our team and looking to hire a Supervisor, 2nd Shift between 1 and 9pm to work in our chemical (batch processing) manufacturing plant in Ashland, VA. This role oversees the production and shipping processes and directly manages a staff of 7 operators. We are seeking a leader who is focused on managing and executing on daily work and will be accountable for the results. This is an exciting time to join our operation as we are embarking on some major automation work which will build capacity to help us grow. Schedule and prioritize shifts workload and provide direction to staff to ensure efficient operations.
Ensure that all packaging and shipments meet ChemTreats specifications and DOT requirements
Manage Inventory control process for production and shipping
Perform all the duties for all positions within the department, as necessary.
Maintain environmental, health and safety documentation as it relates to EPA compliance, OSHA requirements, and Chemtreat, Inc. policies and procedures.
Follow appropriate EHS procedures and policy which may include the identification and proper handling of hazardous waste and file incident reports for work related incidents and near misses.
Champion training and development plans for all shift employees
High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelors degree preferred
1-3 years of leadership (people management) experience is required
At least 1 year of production experience is required. Background in an automated batch processing environment would be ideal, or in distribution or a large warehouse.
