Wells Fargo Technology sets IT strategy; enhances the design, development, and operations of our systems; optimizes the Wells Fargo infrastructure footprint; provides information security; and enables continuous banking access through in-store, online, ATM, and other channels to Wells Fargo’s more than 70 million global customers.
The Digital Technology and Innovation group supports the Corporate Strategy, Digital Platform & Innovation Business. Together they work closely to continue evolving Wells Fargo’s digital platforms and enhance integration of the innovation pipeline into our customer-facing capabilities.
Job Description:
We are seeking a Systems Sr Architect to support our Wells Fargo Digital and Innovation Team. The System Senior Architect position is for an experienced technology professional to provide system architecture & design support within Wells Fargo Digital Technology & Innovation team.
It includes defining the architectural approach and design of complex IT systems, including providing in-depth technical consultation and detailed system design which aligns with enterprise technology strategies and standards as well as with our business strategy and requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Project Architecture - Responsible for working on high impact programs & projects
• Work with product, risk, legal, and infrastructure teams to analyze requirements as a foundation for architecture designs
• Produce project architecture designs encapsulated in Systems Architecture Specification documents using industry standard modeling languages and practices
• Provide support for various digital banking functional domains (acquisition, payments, servicing etc)
• Provide support for modern technology stacks (distributed applications, event/stream processing, NoSQL database etc)
• Manage designs for multiple projects concurrently throughout the project life-cycle.
• Perform software platform design analysis and provide technical assessment report
• Produce platform analysis reports with future recommendations & road-map
• Discover & evaluate best-fit tech stack, resolve scalability challenges in existing applications, provide low level design & code(Java, JEE, JUnit, Spring, SOAP/RESTful services, Apache Storm/Flink and MongoDB), apply test-driven development practices

Qualifications & Requirements
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in information technology systems design
5 + years of experience designing software solutions using software architecture design principles
3+ years of Java experience
1+ year of experience with in-memory databases such as Redis, MongoDB, or Cassandra
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in one or a combination of the following: systems, applications, or architecture planning
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management
Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
3+ year of experience using an industry standard modeling language
4+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services
Experience with Kafka and PubSub patterns tools
1+ years of experience in Hadoop ecosystem tools for real-time batch data ingestion, processing and provisioning such as Apache Flume, Apache Kafka, Apache Sqoop, Apache Flink, Apache Spark or Apache Storm
Other Desired Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in microservices development
