Then our Graphics & Throughput Computing Hardware Engineering (GTCHE) team has opportunities for you. GTCHE is responsible for delivering industry-leading GPU (3D, media, compute, and display) hardware intellectual property (IP) blocks and system-on-a-chip (SoC) products for discrete graphics and throughput computing. We strive to lead the industry through continuous innovation and world-class engineering. We work closely with partners across Intel and do not let any organizational boundaries get in the way of solving problems. We are looking for a Low-power Firmware Engineer to join our team. In this unique and highly visible role, you will be at the center of firmware development effort to optimize Graphics power/performance and thermals while interfacing with multiple hardware and software teams and leading the productization of your algorithms.
We invite you to join GTCHE's organization as a Low-power Firmware Engineer, where you will use state of the art design tools and flows, and will be responsible for various stages of Firmware design and development. As a member of the SoC Firmware team, your responsibility will include, but not limited to: - Work with product architects to determine feature requirements, control algorithms, HW/Firmware partitioning and Firmware design
- Drive Firmware design and convergence.
- Work with partner teams such as SW driver, Platform design and Pre/Post-Si verification to achieve Firmware quality and feature acceptance.
- Perform Firmware design and implementation for integration of functional units and subsystems into SoC designs.
- Assist feature validation at pre-Si and post-Si stages of the product development.
- erform all aspects of the Firmware design flow from high-level design to implementation, optimization, to help create a design database that is ready for manufacturing.

Qualifications
Minimum Skills and Experience that will get you noticed: You must possess a minimum of bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of industry experience or a Masters/PhD with 4+ years of experience.
Your experience should be in the following:
- Embedded firmware development in C/C++/Assembly or other low-level languages
- CPU/GPU Architecture
- CPU/GPU SoC and/or platform level power and thermal management
- Perl, Python or other scripting tools
Preferred skills and experiences that will make you stand out:
- Knowledge of low power(LP) systems and techniques including clock gating, power gating and dynamic voltage and frequency scaling(DVFS)
- Familiarity with Chip Pervasive Logic and Cdyn, Leakage control algorithms
- Prior power optimization experience using PTPX, PowerArtist
- Silicon debug/bring up experience
