ASSOCIATE CATEGORY MANAGER|
As an Associate Manager, Category Management working on the Publix team in Tampa, FL you’ll take an analytical approach to managing assigned categories, and share insights and learning on key initiatives and executions, to influence future strategies. A valued part of the KUSA Sales Team, you’ll support key planning processes, and engage in the development of the annual strategy and monthly reporting. Our success is shaped by you.
**HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**
+ **Analysis and Insights** – With an uncommonly good eye, you will analyze sales data and deliver regular briefings and category reviews. We’re also looking to you to uncover business insights and sales opportunities that will accelerate retail growth, support analytical ad-hoc data deep-dive requests, and monitor competitive activity, recommending solutions to grow the category and Kellogg’s business.
+ **Lead Perfect Shelf Initiatives** – In this role, you’ll provide recommended planogram placement of new items and Perfect Shelf initiatives utilizing Apollo and insights. You will analyze and communicate planogram changes to upper management and continue to work towards best in class shelving principles. You will be supporting the innovation process, delivering improvements in average item count to negotiated growth targets. Our perfect shelf starts with you.
+ **Communication and Collaboration** – Working closely with the customer team, proactively provide assortment, merchandising and shelving insights to Kellogg Sales Directors and Account Executives, for monthly sales updates. Utilizing your understanding of the business build Nielsen monthly reports beyond AMPs, to support the team. Two scoops of communication and collaboration are key ingredients in your recipe for success.
**YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS**
+ BA/BS Degree OR High School Diploma/GED and significant related experience
+ CPG industry experience
+ Motor vehicle history with 2 or less moving violations within the last 36 months
+ Intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
+ Full use and application of data and panel from IRI or ACNielsen or other retailer data sources
+ Experience within the Category Management field
+ Space planning and/or shelf merchandising experience
+ Customer interaction experience
+ Tactical and strategic experience in Category Management and/or Shopper Insights
+ Full use and application of analytics, principles, techniques and tools of Category Management
+ Proficiency in JDA and/or Apollo software
+ Understanding application of retail math to calculate margins, penny profit and elasticities
+ Experience or aptitude to learn hot to model forecasting for base and promotional business
