Compliance Coordinator - State Program Administrator Principal|
The Compliance Coordinator is primarily responsible for designing, reviewing, implementing, and monitoring programs across the Department of Human Services (“DHS”) to maintain or improve compliance with state/federal regulations, laws, and other obligations. This includes providing effective compliance/risk assessment and project management to assist DHS with compliance with federal and state regulations, legislative requirements, and applicable court orders.
In addition, this position will serve in conjunction with other members of the Legal and Compliance Office and the Department’s quality leadership team, develop, implement, and maintain ongoing data-driven quality assessment and performance improvement projects.

Qualifications & Requirements
Five (5) years of professional level in project management or compliance/quality experience which demonstrates the following:
•Application of project management methodology including all principles involved in planning, executing, controlling, managing, evaluating, and closing projects;
•Effective monitoring of program compliance and Department wide quality assurance and performance improvement activities;
•Facilitating input from stakeholders in the analysis and development of project activities, coordinating communications, guiding project expectations, and managing complex and challenging dynamics;
•Implementation or application of healthcare regulations, federal/state regulations, or related regulatory requirements;
•Strong written and oral communication skills sufficient to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization, explaining complex technical compliance issues in non-technical language; and Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Certified Corporate and Ethics Professional (CCEP), or equivalent experience and knowledge of healthcare compliance.
* A Bachelor’s degree in project management, legal studies, political science, public policy, public health, or a closely related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional experience; or a Master’s degree in related field, Juris Doctorate degree, or Advanced degree in related field may substitute for three (3) years of professional experience.
•Knowledge of the programs and service delivery models of DHS’ services.
•Juris Doctorate degree.
•Highly developed problem solving skills, creativity, initiative, adaptability, integrity and trust.
