Duties included but are not limited to:
The incumbent serves as a representative of the Associate Director of Resources on Medical Center/VISN issues as appropriate and works with personnel toward meeting national mandates. The incumbent is directly responsible for the secretary under the Office of the Associate Director of Resources. The section is designed to advise Executive and Senior Leadership and staff regarding issues related to organizational effectiveness through the management of administrative and clinical functions. The incumbent carries out special and routine assignments in the fields related to program evaluation/management, quality, data analysis management, strategic planning/geographical information systems and organizational improvement/systems redesign. The incumbent oversees the development of the facility's strategic direction and process improvements within services under the Associate Director of Resources. The incumbent duties require the ability to apply the specialized principles and practices of health care management in directing and supporting a healthcare delivery system. The incumbent instructs services to initiate appropriate requests to meet immediate or planned needs for funding, staffing, equipment or space. Serves as a staff member directly supporting the top management team responsible for planning, organization, development, direction and evaluation of the Associate Director of Resources operations. As the supervisor, directs subordinates toward accomplishing specific tasks in support of the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System mission.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. work schedule, but work schedule may be adjusted to meet the needs of the service.
