Truist recently delivered Truist Ascent Place-Based Training experiences on the campuses of North Carolina Central University (NCCU) and Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) reinforcing its commitment to developing future leaders through meaningful HBCU partnerships.
The Truist Ascent program is designed to support students through career readiness, leadership development, and exposure to opportunities in financial services. By bringing training directly to campus, Truist created an accessible and immersive learning experience that allowed students to engage with industry professionals, build practical skills, and gain insight into navigating corporate environments.
Students at NCCU and WSSU participated in interactive sessions focused on professional development, communication, and financial readiness, while also expanding their networks through meaningful connections with Truist leaders and team members.
Looking Ahead
A select number of students from these place-based trainings will be identified to continue forward to the Truist Ascent Immersion experience in Charlotte, NC, in October 2026. The immersion experience will provide deeper exposure to Truist’s business, culture, and long-term career opportunities.
