"Who better to 'live' the American dream of business ownership, than those who have defended that dream through military service."
Alabama State University's Small Business Development Center is proud to be a host of the upcoming "Operation Boots to Business" event, that is being held at Maxwell Airforce Base on Monday and Tuesday (Aug. 14/15) of next week.
It is a two-day entrepreneurial education and training program for ALL veterans, military service members, military reserves, National Guard members and military spouses, which is offered by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) as part of the Department of Defense’s Transition Assistance Program (TAP), said Andrea Rogers Moseley, director, ASU's Small Business Development Center (SBDC).
"The curriculum at the two-day event will provide valuable assistance to service members and spouses who wish to explore new or additional information regarding business ownership by leading them through the key steps of evaluating business concepts, and provide to them with the foundational knowledge that is required to develop a business plan and own and operate a small business," Moseley said.
The event is sponsored by Alabama State University's Small Business Development Center, The Maxwell Air Force Base Transition Assistance Program, and the U. S. Small Business Administration.
